Roj news affiliated to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) reported that two HDP representatives Nahida Armish and Hikmat Khatib were detained by the security forces in Erbil.
Two members of the HDP Representation office Roken Mircan and Gulcan Alb were also taken to custody, it said.
The PKK-affiliated media accused the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) of detaining the HDP members.
There was no immediate comment from authorities in the Kurdistan Region.
Meanwhile, Hawar News agency (ANHA) reported the detention of the HDP’s fifth member, Gurkol Alb.
The detention of the HDP members came after Duhok court sentenced Nimat Gumes, member of the HDP representative office in the Kurdistan Region, in September.
He was accused of “spying and trading” with the PKK.
