According to Middle East News Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani said Turkish authorities have been informed that the export of Kurdistan region's oil through Ceyhan Port will resume from Saturday. According to Iraq official news agency, the Iraq Ministry of Oil announced in a statement that the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company informed the Turkish Butash Company of resuming the export and loading oil from northern Iraq from Saturday May 13.
The Iraqi Oil Minister mentioned the contract with international companies for the sale and marketing crude oil from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan based on the mechanisms of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company has ended.
Earlier, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq had already announced that the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) officially asked Turkey to resume the export of oil from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
