Öcalan:Kurds should not be subservient to Israel to create an independent state

According to this text, Öcalan thanked Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the government of Bahceli and said that Kurds and Turks have been together for a thousand years and neither can exist without the other.

Öcalan clarified that the Syrian Kurds should not become subjects of Israel or other countries in order to establish an independent state. He proposed that the Kurds reach an agreement with the Syrian government, but only on the condition that they have local democracy, which means that they have administrative power in the Kurdish regions.

Öcalan emphasized that she is ready to talk with the SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi so that Abdi accepts this request.

Öcalan also said about the disarmament of the PKK: "I called for the disarmament of the PKK in 2025, and they have done 70 percent of their work, but in order for me to take full control of the situation and convince everyone, they must open communication channels so that I can talk to the outside.

The imprisoned PKK leader warned that if this opportunity is lost, the situation will become very difficult.

In her words, Ocalan also added: "I don't want an independent state, but I want a democratic republic where the Kurds have rights.

He also emphasized that the PKK should lay down its weapons and end the war not only in Türkiye but also in Syria.

Ojalan's words come while Sheikh Murshid Ghaznavi, the Grand Mufti of the Kurds in Syria, published a message in response to Ojalan's words and said: "If Israel comes and saves our nation in Syrian Kurdistan, I am ready to mediate for Israel.
