According to Kurdpress, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced that the meeting of the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with the officials of the Syrian interim government in Damascus was held in a positive atmosphere on Tuesday and The two sides have reached an agreement on the implementation of the December 18 agreement, the development of a general road map and the joining of internal security forces of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (Asaish) to the Ministry of Interior of the Syrian Interim Government.
In a report, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) published the details of the meeting between SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi and officials of the Syrian Interim Government in Damascus yesterday.
According to SOHR, both sides reached an understanding on the implementation mechanism of the January 18 agreement, and it was decided that the internal security forces of the Autonomous Administration (ASAISH) will join the Syrian Ministry of Interior.
Sources close to the matter told SOHR that the meeting was held in a positive atmosphere and the parties agreed on a general roadmap.
It was also announced that practical and concrete steps are expected to be taken in the field in the next stage.
According to the agreement reached in this meeting, the Asaish forces, which is a local force, will join the Interior Ministry of the interim government of Syria.
These integrated security forces, made up of local people, will be responsible for securing the cities and internal security processes.
The purpose of this action is to represent the government's sovereignty and preserve local structures.
SOHR also announced that the purpose of these meetings in Damascus is to establish and stabilize the administrative and security conditions in the region and also emphasized that the necessary infrastructure for the implementation of the agreements has been prepared and the goal is that this process will directly contribute to the general peace of the region.
