The Kurdsat faction of the Change Movement announced the holding of its conference in Kirkuk

Service of Iraq and Kurdistan Region - The Kurdsat faction of the Change Movement announced that based on the decision of the Council of Commissioners of the Independent Supreme Election Commission of Iraq, the conference of this movement will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 in the city of Kirkuk.

According to Kordpress, in a statement, while welcoming this decision, the Change Movement considered it an important opportunity to end the legal and organizational problems and start a new phase in the movement's political and civil activity. A stage which, according to this movement, should be based on a national policy, converging and in accordance with the will of the citizens.

It is stated in this statement that the selection of Kirkuk city as the venue for the conference has a deep national message and symbol, because Kirkuk has always been a symbol of coexistence, unity and national will of Kurdistan and can convey the message of unity and joint cooperation inside and outside the Kurdistan region.

The Kurdsat faction of the Change Movement has also emphasized the sensitive political conditions in the region and Iraq, and has asked all the forces, currents and personalities who believe in real reforms to act unitedly in the interests of the people of Kurdistan by putting aside internal differences.
