According to Kurdpress, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, in a press conference with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barro, emphasized the necessity of confronting the dangers of ISIS through the continuation of the role of the international coalition to fight it, and called for the protection of the rights of the Kurds in both Iraq and Syria.

According to Shafaq News, Barzani mentioned that he agrees with the French Foreign Minister that ISIS is still a threat to the stability of the region.

Pointing to the importance of stability in Syria, he emphasized that this stability should guarantee and preserve the rights of all classes and groups.

The head of Kurdistan Region of Iraq also emphasized the necessity of continuing the missions of the international coalition and considered it necessary to solve the problems and tensions in the region through peace and dialogue.

Barzani stated that he had a conversation with the French Foreign Minister about strengthening relations between Erbil and Baghdad with Paris and developing strategic cooperation.

The two sides also discussed the political situation in Iraq and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, and Barzani appreciated France's role in supporting Baghdad and Erbil.
