The Syrian interim government has not yet fulfilled its obligations

Syria Service - The Kobani Autonomous Administration announced that despite the promises made by the representatives of the Damascus interim government at the Aleppo meeting, no concrete action has been taken so far.

According to Kordpress, the Kobani administration released a statement about its talks with the Aleppo governorate and announced that despite the holding of meetings and promises made by the representatives of the Syrian interim government, no practical action has been taken so far in terms of the withdrawal of military forces, the lifting of the siege of Kobani, and the improvement of services to citizens.

According to the Ferat news agency, the administration of the Kobani autonomous government issued a statement regarding its talks with the administration of the Aleppo governorate.

This statement states: "According to the agreement of January 29 between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the interim government in Damascus, the first step was taken in the Shivkhler area and the integration of the security forces in that area took place. With the aim of solving the problems of the citizens and returning the refugees to their homes, a meeting was held in the outskirts of Kobani city between the administration of Kobani and the deputy governor of Aleppo, with the presence of Kurdish and Arab trustees and elders. This meeting ended with positive results, and during it, the Deputy Governor of Aleppo, on behalf of the Governor, invited the administration of Kobani to travel to Aleppo city for a meeting.

.The military forces did not retreat, the siege was not lifted

The statement continues: "Following the invitation, a delegation of the management and elders of Kobani left for Aleppo on February 5. There, a meeting was held with the deputy governor and commander of the internal security forces of Aleppo province. In this meeting, important cases were discussed, including the practical steps in Shivkhler region and the measures that should be taken in Chalabieh sector to ensure the return of all residents to their villages. Also, service issues such as water, electricity and internet interruptions were investigated. However, despite the promises of the government representatives in this meeting, no objective steps have been taken by the government. Especially in the context of the withdrawal of military forces from Chalabiyeh and the lifting of the siege of Kobani.

"Using the name 'Ain al-Arab' is contrary to reality"

As the management of Kobani, we emphasize that the statements subsequently published in the media do not help to solve the problems and do not correspond to the content of the agreement. Also, addressing Kobani as a 'Bakhsh' (small area) and insisting on using the name 'Ain al-Arab' is contrary to the facts in the region.

"The government of Damascus must fulfill its duties"

We once again declare our adherence to the provisions of the agreement and its implementation on the battlefield and express our readiness to fulfill our responsibilities to advance this process. We ask the government of Damascus to fulfill its duties and complete the necessary steps, In particular, the withdrawal of military forces from the villages located in the administrative area of Kobani region, lifting the siege of the city and removing the obstacles in the way of providing basic services to the citizens.
