In this meeting, the task of investigating and investigating the accused who were transferred from Syria to Iraq was handed over to the Al-Karkh Investigation Court.

Pointing out that there is a lot of information about the crimes of the ISIS terrorist group, he stated that the National Center for International Judicial Cooperation of Iraq formed an operational room in coordination with security organizations and using extensive information related to the crimes of terrorists in the years 2014 to 2017.

He clarified that only after the end of the investigation can we talk about handing over these defendants to their countries.

Ali Zia said that based on preliminary research, some of these elements are extremely dangerous and are among the leaders of ISIS and perpetrators of mass murder and crimes against humanity against the people of Iraq.

He explained that among these terrorists, there are those who committed crimes against Yazidis in addition to those who used chemical weapons in Iraq.

He stated that ISIS elements were not tried in Syria and they were only detained to be investigated by the international coalition or the courts there.

Ali Zia predicted that the investigation of these ISIS elements will last between 4 and 6 months.
