Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani received a telephone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the press office said in a statement and They discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, especially related to the Strategic Development Road project, given its economic and investment importance, besides discussing ways to increase trade between the two countries.

According to the statement, the two sides stressed the importance of monitoring regional and international developments and the need for joint security coordination and fighting remnants of terrorism and continued efforts to strengthen regional security.

They also stressed the importance of maintaining dialogue, resorting to peaceful solutions and preventing the escalation of conflicts to save the region and its peoples from the dangers of war.
