According to Kordpress, Ayeshagol Doghan, the spokesperson of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (Dem Party), in a press conference at the party's headquarters, considered the report of the Majlis Commission to be the most important axis of the country's political agenda and announced that this report has now entered the implementation phase after months of expert work and listening to different views.
Pointing out that the Kurdish issue has been deprived of the effective role of the parliament for years, she emphasized that the official entry of this issue to the floor of the parliament and the participation of political parties in the preparation of the report is an important development. According to Doghan, although not all of the party's proposals have been included in the final text, the same amount of progress is the result of the extensive efforts of institutions, parties and people who participated in the process of preparing the report.
Referring to Abdullah Ocalan's recent meeting with the leadership of the party, Doghan announced that the "first stage" of this process has officially ended and the report of the commission can be considered the beginning of the second stage. She called for the immediate formulation of a new timetable and the initiation of legal and legal reforms to implement the recommendations of the report and emphasized that the parliament should use all its capacity to solve this issue and advance democratization.
In another part of his speech, the spokesman of Dem Party criticized the use of "literature of the past" in some parts of the report and said that a new future cannot be built with the old language.
He considered the use of expressions such as "Turkey without terrorism" to be a reductionist approach and emphasized that the Kurdish issue is a multidimensional, historical issue related to rights and freedoms and should not be defined only in the security framework.
Referring to the arrival of International Mother Language Day, Doghan described Turkey as a multilingual and multi-ethnic country and said that after Turkish, Kurdish is the most widely spoken language in the country. According to him, in the future, we should think about strengthening the position of the Kurdish language in the public arena and carrying out legal reforms related to it.
In the end, he emphasized that the implementation of the recommendations of the report is a historical test for all political and social forces, and it can only be achieved with continuous follow-up and public opinion pressure. Doghan clarified: "On behalf of millions of people, we must now all follow this report and ensure its implementation."
