According to Kurdpress, "Nashit Zaza", the head of the local councils affiliated to the Patriotic Council of Syrian Kurds (ENKS), announced in an interview that the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the interim government of Syria was implemented only in the Arab-populated areas and not in the Kurdish-populated areas.
Neshit Zaza, the head of ENKS local councils, in an interview with Rodav Network about the latest developments in Syrian Kurdistan, stated that the terms of the agreement between the SDF and Damascus have not yet been implemented in the Kurdish areas.
He said: "The agreement between the SDF and Damascus has only been implemented in the Arab-inhabited areas and has not been implemented in the Kurdish-inhabited areas."
Referring to the conditions of Kobani city, Zaza clarified that this city is in a difficult situation and is still facing serious problems. He emphasized: "Kobani is in a difficult situation and the siege of this city must end as soon as possible."
He added that efforts are underway to lift the blockade, but no tangible results have been achieved so far.
The head of the local councils of ENKS also criticized the way the agreement was implemented and said that the Syrian government was satisfied with expressing positive positions and did not take concrete practical action. According to him, "the government only makes good words but does not take practical steps."
Referring to the situation in the field, Zaza added: "Both sides are negotiating and talking, but it is our people who pay the price."
He also informed about violations in some Kurdish areas and said that cases of robbery and looting have been reported in some villages.
In another part of his speech, Neshat Zaza emphasized the need to strengthen the convergence between Kurdish political currents and demanded the formation of a joint delegation to negotiate with Damascus. He said: "A single delegation must be formed by the Kurds to be present in the process of talks and negotiations."
In the end, he clarified that the Kurdish issue is not just a cultural or linguistic issue, but a political issue related to the existence of these people. Zaza added: "The issue of the Kurdish people is the issue of existence and is not limited to the issue of language."
He also emphasized that the regions of Afrin, Kobani and Jazeera are Kurdistan regions and should not be considered separate from each other.
