Abdullah Ocalan announced the end of the PKK's armed struggle was over and there was no going back to the past. He described the developments as a transition to peace within the framework of a democratic republic.

In another part of his massage, he referred to regional developments and said that some powers are seeking to maintain their influence in the Middle East. According to his, in addition to some developments in Syria, the outbreak of war in Iran has also complicated the regional equations.

 Ocalan said these developments show that the ongoing peace process in Turkey is on the right track and highlight its importace.
