According to Kurdpress, Iraqi Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani met Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iran's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the Antalya Conference and discussed the "regional situation and the consequences of the war."

According to the statement of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the two sides emphasized the importance of "continuing the ceasefire, dialogue and understanding to prevent the recurrence of war and create peace and maintain peace and stability" throughout the Middle East.

The Kurdistan Region Presidency says that the relations between Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with the Islamic Republic of Iran was another focus of this meeting. In this context, emphasis was placed on the development of relations and joint cooperation in areas that are important for both sides.
