According to KurdPress, Sipan Shirvani, a representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party faction in the Iraqi parliament, announced that the 50,000 barrels of oil per day is not enough to meet the Kurdistan Region’s domestic needs.
He said: “We have demanded a fair share.”Given that the population of the Kurdistan Region constitutes about 14% of Iraq's population, Baghdad must allocate 140,000 barrels of oil per day to meet the Kurdistan Region's domestic needs.
