According to Kurdistan Press, Ömer Ocalan, a member of the People's Democracy and Equality Party (HDP), met with Abdullah Ocalan on Imrali Island on October 31, 2025, along with a number of his family members.

Abdullah Ocalan's sister, Fatma Ocalan, as well as his nephews Barfin and Ali Ocalan, were also present at this family meeting.
