Muhammed told NRT that the new Iraqi government should be formed based on a collective agreement between the parties and stressed that the PUK should again fill the position of Iraqi president as it has since 2005.
He said that the PUK officials will also meet the opposition New Generation Movement.
However New Generation officials have repeatedly said that they will not participate in the government, but will serve in the opposition.
Muhammed also addressed the ongoing power struggle between the PUK’s leaders, saying that although he is close to PUK Co-President Lahur Sheikh Jangi, he also has loyalty in his role as a party cadre to Co-President Bafel Talabani.
"For me, friendship is one thing and the party's policies are another,” he added.
Muhammed said that he does not have any agreement with Talabani.
