Addressing a press conference on Monday, Qasemi pointed to some destructive measures against Iraqi tourists in Iran, and said, “The adversaries who have all their determination to undermine Iran and destroy its foreign relations and disrupt its foreign policy with many other countries, especially with its neighbors, are struggling to launch a psychological war on Iran.”

“I can say that this is part of a widespread psychological war against Iran,” he added while noting that over the past few days more than eight issues have been raised about Iran and Iraq, and the enemies have tried to raise these issues and create a tension between the two countries.

At the same time, Qasemi pointed out that the psychological war to undermine Iran's relations with Iraq and other countries is on their agenda, and we must pay attention to the destructive nature of these measures with sensitivity and not allow them to re-distribute topics that are not fundamentally serious helping them to succeed.

According to IRNA he also pointed to the process of forming the parliament and government in Iraq and some of accusations against Iran, and said, “The charges that are sometimes raised are false and unfounded, and the necessary answers have been given to them. What is critical to us is independence and territorial integrity of Iraq.”

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman recalled,” Iraq has a long border with Iran, and the two countries have common historical backgrounds, and what we want is the demand of the Iraqi people, and everything that is made in this country by the people and its representatives is desirable for us.”

Qasemi went on to say that, “We will work with any government from any faction and party of Iraq in the future because we are neighbors and we must live together.”

“This is the right of the Iraqi people to choose what they want, and our general policy is not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, but we do not allow others to interfere in our internal affairs,” he said.
