Russian Security Council Secretary to visit Iran

<p style="text-align:left">Russian Security Council secretary, Nikolai Patrushev, will be heading to Tehran for a meeting of regional states' secretaries and national security advisers on Wednesday.

According to IRNA the first one-day meeting of secretaries and national security advisers of countries of the region called Regional Security Dialogue with the participation of Iran, Russia, China, India and Afghanistan will be held in Tehran on the 26th of October.
The meeting, organized and initiated by the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will discuss and debate ways to fight terrorism, extremism and new threats of terrorism in West Asia.
Nikolai Patrushev will also talk with other security officials about the state of Afghanistan during the trip.
According to the press office of the Russian Security Council, multilateral consultations are scheduled to take place in Tehran, and the situation in Afghanistan and the Taliban will be examined.
