The annual conference for the liberation of Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) will be held on January 15 by the Department of Political Science at Rojava University in Qamishli.

According to the Euphrates News Agency, Noam Chomsky, an American thinker and philosopher, will speak at the opening ceremony of the conference at the invitation of the Department of Political Science at Rojava University.

The speech will be broadcast live on Rojava University's Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The purpose of the conference is to examine the situation in Syrian Kurdistan and the management of the North and East Syrian Autonomous Region, its opportunities, threats, limitations and future goals.

Rojava University was established in Qamishli in 2016 with the aim of introducing a new educational system that respects cultural and linguistic pluralism, equal rights for men and women, environmental justice and critical thinking.
