Abdullah Goran, the chief of public relations of the security forces in Kirkuk told the official website of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) that the IS militants attacked the villages of Nasir Herki and killed a civilian and injured another one after the residents of the village started clashes with the terrorists.
He further added that the residents of the villages have left it for Kirkuk as IS threat and attack is always imminent in Kirkuk, northern Iraq.
Goran further stated that the IS activity is more than having sleeping cells and they are in control of some areas and are conducting their operations overtly and have turned into a serious security threat in Kirkuk and its surrounding areas.
