Zarif made the remarks after a Saturday, February 16 meeting with Masrour Barzani, the head of Kurdistan Region Security and Intelligence Agency and the leader of the region's delegatin in the conference.
Zarif dubbed the gathering with Barzani as fruitfull and told reporters that ties between Tehran and Baghdad and Erbil was discussed in the meeting, stressing that Iran is willing to expand its relations with Kurdistan Region.
He went in to added that the political process in the region and its securith and stability as well as Syria issue and was discussed in the gathering, where the two sides underscored the rigths of Kurds in the war-torn country have to preserved and respected.
Zarif finally reminded that Iran and Kurdistan Region are neighbors, have joint borders and enjoy several commonalities and foreign threats and foreignes remarks fail to leave any impact on the ties.
