She made the remarks in an interview with Kurdpress on Monday, March 25, as the Kurdish forces in Syria defeated the Islamic State (IS) in Syria and controlled the last region under the control of the jihadists.
We are in the time of passing and the IS saw its last defeat as it experienced its first one in Kobani, a Kurdish city in the north of Syria, Afandi stated, continuing to say that the IS terrorists surrendered to the Women Protection Units (YPG) fighters.
The co-leader further warned the threat of the IS is not over though it is ended militarily since those IS members that have been arrested and are living in the camps are seeking for an opportunity to resume their activities.
Confirming that the U.S. is not following a clear policy in Syria, Afandi stressed that the Kurds are wrestling with a large number of challenges and none of the coalition force members have made any remarks in support of the Kurdish forces though the US representative had no other way but to read the statement that announced the end of the IS next to the flag of the Syrian Kurds.
