Al-Halbusi said during the meeting that the KRG should seize the initiative and work within a united Iraq, NRT reported.
“We feel a sincere intent in the Council of Representatives about resolving all of the problems,” al-Halbusi said according to his media office.
“The Council of Representatives supports finding political and legal solutions available under the constitution to all the problems.
KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has indicated that repairing relations with the federal government is a top priority.
“The Kurdistan Region is an important part of Iraq. Its political parties and the Kurdish people are a basic component of [engaging in the] process of building a new democracy,” Barzani said.
