Barzani, Iraqi leaders discuss government formatin

<p style="text-align:left">Masoud Barzani, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), discussed the formation of the Iraqi upcoming government with Jamal Al-Karboli, head of the National Movement for Development and Reform party and the Iraqi List coalition in the parliament.

During the meeting, the top officials also stressed on a real partnership in the new cabinet and political process in the country, BasNews reported.
Karboli in return, hailed Barzani's role in hosting 1.2 million IDPs and Syrian refugees in the Kurdistan Region in the past few years.
In the meantime, Barzani welcomed Iraqi Vice President Osama Al-Nujaifi for talks on the post-election political developments in across Iraq.
Iraqi parliamentary election was held on May 12 in which Shi'ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr obtained a total of 54 seats of the parliament.
