The officials during the Friday evening meeting, where the US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman and new Consul General in Erbil, Steven Fagin, were attending as well, exchanged views on the formation of the future Iraqi government, a statement by Barzani's office said.
Barzani and US special envoy also noted that peaceful dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad is essential to improve the relations between the sides, BasNews reported.
Concerning the recent demonstrations in the southern parts of Iraq, the top officials hoped the demands of the demonstrators will be met.
