Norway's DNO said in a statement that crude oil production would increase in the third quarter of 2020 and begin to emerge from the crisis following the corona outbreak.
The company said in a statement that it had been able to increase crude oil production in the Kurdistan region by 12 percent in the third quarter of the year compared to the previous period, bringing oil drill in the Tavakeh and Pishkhabur oil fields to 113,700 barrels per day.
This increase in oil production comes as the construction of new oil wells has not yet been completed and these wells are not in the extraction stage.
The Norwegian company has also announced the optimal use of exhaust gases from oil wells and its re-injection into wells. According to the company, by preventing the burning of two billion cubic feet of gas associated with oil and polluting the environment, DNA has injected these gases into wells to extract more oil. About 7 km of pipeline has been built to transport these gases.
Bijan Mesour Rahmani, Executive Director of DNA, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the company's oil drilling projects in the Kurdistan region, describing the level of oil production in this region as appropriate.
