The French Foreign Ministry issued a statement reacting to the PKK's military confrontation with Peshmerga forces in the Kurdistan Region a few days ago.

"France strongly condemns the recent attacks on Kurdish security forces in Dohuk province in recent days, which left several casualties among the forces," the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The French Foreign Ministry also expressed its condolences to the families of the victims.

The French Foreign Ministry has stressed that Iraqi Kurdish forces, along with Iraqi Federal Security Forces, have been allies of France in the fight against the ISIS.

France condemns the attack and similar attacks against the sovereignty and integrity of Iraq and the stability of the Kurdish region.

"The European Union considers the PKK a terrorist organization," the French Foreign Ministry concluded by addressing the PKK.
