300 million dinars have been collected to support Syrian Kurdistan

Iraq and Kurdistan Region Service - The governor of Erbil, announcing the extension of the campaign to collect public aid for Syrian Kurdistan, said that so far more than 300 million dinars in cash aid and dozens of shipments of food and essential items have been collected within the framework of this campaign.

According to Kurdpress, Erbil Governorate announced that due to the wide acceptance of citizens and according to the request of donors, it has been decided to extend the duration of the campaign to collect public donations for Syrian Kurdistan. It was also emphasized that dozens of shipments of food and essential items have been collected so far.

Omid Khushnav, the governor of Erbil, announced in an exclusive interview with Kurdistan 24 that it was decided to extend the period of the "Erbil" campaign to collect donations and help Syrian Kurds until Saturday.

The governor of Erbil explained that this decision was taken following the widespread request of citizens and benefactors living in Erbil province to provide more opportunities to participate in this national and humanitarian action.

In another part of his speech, the governor of Erbil explained the statistics of the aid collected so far and said: "Up to this moment, more than 65 trucks carrying food and essential items have been prepared, and the amount of cash aid collected in the campaign funds has exceeded 300 million dinars.

Omid Khoshnav also pointed out that this statistic is only related to the field aid of the campaign and does not include the large and direct aid provided by investment companies, businessmen and capitalists of Erbil city to support their brothers and sisters in Syrian Kurdistan.
