According to Kordpress, the information office of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani announced in a statement on Monday, February 2, that during the meeting, issues related to the legal requirements of the next stage were discussed, at the head of which was the election of the president with the aim of continuing the process of completing the formation of the government based on the results of the House of Representatives elections.

In this meeting, the current developments in the region, the situation in Syria and the importance of integrating Iraq's national political discourse were discussed; In such a way that the position of Iraq and the high national interests of this country are strengthened against regional developments and events.

The Shiite delegation consisted of Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Hadi Ameri, the Secretary General of the Badr Organization, Mohsen Mandalavi, the Chairman of the Asas Coalition, and Abbas Razi, the Secretary General of the Coordination Framework.

From the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, the head of the party, Nechirvan Barzani and Masrour Barzani were present as the first and second deputy heads of the party. Fazel Mirani and Hoshiar Zibari, other senior officials of the Democratic Party, also participated in this meeting.

Mohammad Shia al-Sudani and the Iraqi Shiite Coordination Framework Board arrived in Erbil this morning, and in the next stop of his trip, after meeting Masoud Barzani, the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, he will travel to Sulaymaniyah and meet Bafel Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
