According to Kurdpress, Tunjar Bakr Khan, the co-chairman of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (Dem Party), announced in a speech that the January 30 agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Interim Government does not mean surrender, but is a guarantee for the life and future of the Kurds in Syria.

He also emphasized that Abdullah Ocalan had a decisive role in the formation of this agreement.

In his speech, the co-chairman of Dem Party said that the recent developments in Syrian Kurdistan have strengthened the spirit of solidarity and unity among the Kurds.

Referring to the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus government, Bakr Khan described Abdullah Ocalan's role in this process as "very important" and said: "I am grateful to all those who came to the field to defend Syrian Kurdistan and showed their democratic will." It has been proven once again that Syrian Kurdistan is not alone and the Kurds are not alone there."

He added: "Syrian Kurdistan is under pressure, but it is the land of the Kurds and everyone should take steps carefully and responsibly. Our greatest gratitude goes to Mr. Ocalan. Do not pay attention to false analyzes and lies. "We have always been by your side, we have fought and we will never leave you alone."

Bakr Khan continued: "Abdullah Ocalan advised the SDF to start a democratic process with Damascus from the very first day. He warned Ankara not to participate in the plan to remove and purge the Kurds and told us to take responsibility for the protection of Syrian Kurdistan.

He also emphasized that Ocalan's stances stopped the attacks and paved the way for the January 30 agreement and said: "January 30 is not surrender, but the guarantee of Kurds' lives." "Kurds are fighting not only in Kurdish cities, but throughout Syria to build a democratic country."

At the end of his speech, Bekerkhan also asked the Turkish Parliament to play a more active role and said: "Parliament should form an inclusive commission and draw a broad framework in which no identity, religion or belief is left out." "Political parties should protect coexistence with human dignity and mutual respect instead of division."
