According to Kurdpress, Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani met and talked with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

According to the statement of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the two sides reviewed the latest political and security developments in the region and the situation in Syria and emphasized the need to guarantee the rights of the Kurds in the future constitution of a united Syria.

In this meeting, Nechirvan Barzani appreciated France's support and consistent positions in supporting the peace and stability of the region, and both sides agreed on the importance of international coordination to maintain the security and stability of the region.

The president of the Kurdistan region also announced in a message on X social network that he was pleased to meet with the French president in Munich and appreciated the role of Paris as an effective partner in strengthening peace and stability in the region.
