According to Kurdpress, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani, along with Qabad Talabani, a member of the party's political office, welcomed Mazloum Abdi, the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in the city of Sulaymaniyah, located in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

According to Havar news agency, this meeting was held in Sulaymaniyah's Dabashan region, and during it, the parties discussed the developments in Syria and the situation in the Kurdistan regions in the north and east of the country.

In this meeting, Mazloum Abdi mentioned his participation in the Munich Security Conference and evaluated the latest developments and political and field changes in Syria. He also appreciated the positions and support of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in the fight against terrorism.

On the other hand, Bafel Talabani emphasized that this party will continue to support the people of Syrian Kurdistan and this support will continue until a political structure is formed in Syria that guarantees the rights and representation of all parties and ethnic groups and an inclusive government is formed with the participation of all components of the Syrian society.
