According to Kurdpress, Qobad Talbani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, announced that as Kurds, our consistent position is that we are not part of the crises and tensions, but rather part of the solution and have a contributing role in ensuring the security and stability of the region.

He said: "During the meeting of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan team in the regional government, detailed discussions were held the complex situation in the region and its effects on Iraq and the Kurdistan region, and we once again emphasized our consistent position."

In a statement published on social media, Talbani also referred to the review of relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and federal government of Iraq, adding: "Within the framework of the Patriotic Union's vision, we will our efforts to improve relations and resolve problems between Erbil and Baghdad."
