According to Kurdpress, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh.

During this meeting, the minister appreciated the permission for tankers carrying Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and pointed out the importance of continuing this cooperation in the near future.

The Iranian ambassador explained Iran's position on recent developments related to the war; the regional situation and its consequences were also discussed during the meeting.

Fuad Hussein emphasized Iraq's consistent policy of opposing war and the need to end it, and noted the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful dialogue and negotations.
