The decisive role of Syrian Kurdistan in the future of Syria

Syrian Service - Tunjar Bakr Khan emphasized that solving the Syrian crisis is not possible without the participation of all forces, including Syrian Kurdistan, and that Türkiye should adopt a dialogue-based approach.

According to Kurdpress, while the Syrian crisis is still in a political deadlock, "Tunjar Bakr Khan", the co-chairman of the Dem Party, emphasized the importance of the role of the north and east of Syria (Syrian Kurdistan), and called for an approach based on dialogue, inclusive participation and distancing from exclusionary policies, an approach that, according to him, can pave the way for the formation of a stable solution in Syria.

In an interview with the Mesopotamia news agency, Tunjar Bakr Khan emphasized that a lasting solution in this country can only be achieved through dialogue and the participation of all actors. He clarified that approaches based on eliminating or ignoring a part of active forces in Syria will not only help to solve the crisis, but will make it more complicated.

Referring to the position of North and East Syria (Syrian Kurdistan) in the regional equations, Bakr Khan said that this region has become one of the important players in the political future of Syria and it cannot be excluded from the decision-making process. According to him, any effort to establish stability in Syria should be based on the equal participation of all ethnic groups and groups, including Kurds, Arabs and other social and political forces.

He also emphasized the necessity of changing Türkiye's approach towards Syria and said that policies based on pressure and confrontation cannot lead to a solution. According to Bekerkhan, Türkiye should take the path of dialogue with different actors, including the management of North and East Syria, instead of security-oriented approaches.

Bakr Khan further added that if an approach based on interaction and acceptance of field realities is adopted, there is a possibility of forming a new political process in Syria; A process that can lead to reducing tensions, strengthening regional stability and creating grounds for peaceful coexistence between different groups.

In the end, he emphasized that the future of Syria depends on the formation of an inclusive and multi-vocal political structure, and without considering the role of Syrian Kurdistan and other local forces, no sustainable solution to this crisis will be achieved.
