Northern Syrian media reported that the Turkish military convoy entered al-Rai crossing in the northern outskirts of Aleppo on Wednesday evening, July 6, and moved towards al-Bab city in eastern Aleppo.
Sources have told the media that the Turkish convoy included three tanks, a number of armored vehicles and semi-heavy artillery, which went to the city of al-Bab in the eastern outskirts of Aleppo.
According to sources, the arrival of this column in the eastern outskirts of Aleppo was accompanied by the flight of Turkish planes in the area.
These sources also said:" last midnight, Turkish army convoys entered the areas with heavy weapons and armored vehicles under the control of opposition groups supported by Ankara from Bab al-Salmah and al-Ra'i crossings in northern Aleppo."
The recent movements of the Turkish army are associated with Turkey's threats to start a new military operation in northern Syria. On the other hand, Syrian government forces and other forces stationed in Tal Rifat and its surroundings strengthened their fortifications to confront any possible Turkey attack.
