Italian Consul to Erbil, Sirinia Moroni, attended the meeting.

The two sides also asked for more economic, security and political ties between the Kurdish Region and Italy.

Moroni reiterated on the importance of his state’s ties with Erbil and said he would ease attempts for improving the intended ties between Rome and Erbil, appreciating the efforts of the Kurdish forces of Peshmerga and their achievements.

Erbil- Baghdad relations have also been discussed in the gathering.
