Turkey jets bomb areas in Kurdistan Region

<p style="text-align: left;">Turkish jets hit areas in Kurdistan Region, northern Iraq, on the pretext of the presence of the forces of the Kurdistan Workers&rsquo; Party (PKK), the military said on Monday.

In a Twitter post, the Turkish General Staff said its jets pounded PKK bases in the Sinat-Haftanin, and Metina regions during operations conducted on Sunday and Monday.

According to the statement shelters belonging to the group were also destroyed in the airstrikes, Anadolu reported.

The statement added that a number of the PKK forces were killed in the attacks.
