Baghdad welcomes Iranian firms in Iraq reconstruction

<p style="text-align: left;">Baghdad welcomes the participation of Iranian firms for reconstruction of different regions in Iraq, Minister of Construction and Housing Bangen Rekani said in a meeting with Hassan Danaeifar, an advisor to First Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and chairman of the Iranian committee on the development of economic relations with Syria and Iraq.

The two officials discussed, in the Sunday meeting, the latest status of bilateral ties and topics of mutual interests between Baghdad and Tehran, including ways to arrange for the payments of Iranian companies.

Danaeifar, for his side, stressed that Iranian firms are ready to cooperate in the reconstruction process of Iraq which is damaged by the war against the terrorist group of the Islamic State (IS).

Danaeifar also met Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi on Sunday and is slated to hold meetings with some other high-ranking Iraqi officials during his three-day visit to the country.
