The current leader of the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Barzani reiterated in a meeting with the deputies and officials of the party in Badinan region that an election will solve the troubles and tensions of the region.
He further appreciated the people of the region for standing against problems, adding that holding the independence referendum of the region on October 25 was a big achievement for the people for the region through which they expressed, peacefully, their demand and will to the world.
He denied the referendum is the reason behind the current troubles of the region and stated that the root of the troubles led the people of the region to go to ballot boxes, continuing to say that cause of the troubles are those people who have gone against the law now and in the past.
Barzani added that the region want dialogue and a peaceful solution to the troubles but it will stay against any compulsion.
