Iran favors talks between Damascus, Kurds

Head of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Heshmatollah Falahatpishe says Iran favors promotion of talks between the government of Syria and Kurds.

Falahatpishe recently told IRNA that “Iran wants government of Syria and Kurds enter into negotiations and the conditions are getting prepared.”

He said as long as Syrian government wants so, Iranians will be ready to extend help.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue offering advisory assistance to Syria in many fields and the helps are unsparing. Though many countries are cooperating with Syria, no country has been able to replace Iran's unsparing helps.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Iranian MP said Idlib is the most important problem facing Syrian government.

“One-hundred thousand extremist terrorists are in Idlib; such problems as the terrorist grouplet of al Nusra and certain other problems should be added to this. So, the northwestern part of Syria – the northern part covers 10 to 15 percent of the area – is facing serious problems. These problems should be solved through a political work because in case of war, there will be human catastrophe.”
