According to KNN, the media organization of Gorran, an opposition party, protests have been resumed in Rania and there are many security forces in Chamchamal, Koye and Halabce to prevent protests in the cities, also in Sulaimani.

According to the report a large number of Peshmerga forces affiliated with 70 brigade of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan have been deployed to Rania to prevent protestors to inflame the fuels of tension.

Some 5 protestors were killed and more than 100 others were injured in protests in the cities of the region.
