Turkish artillery had targeted Democratic Union Party (PYD) positions in the Semalka border area on the Syrian border with Iraq, NRT reported.
The Turkish army began bombarding the area at 11 a.m. on Wednesday and at least 10 shells landed in the area.
The reporter added that the security forces did not allow journalists to get close to the Semalka area.
Meanwhile, Hawar News Agency and Firat News Agency cited sources from the People’s Protection Units (YPG) as saying that the Turkish army targeted a checkpoint for Asayish (security) forces near Kharab Rashk in Derik near Syrian border.
