Iraq on verge of new stability era, Maliki tells Iranian envoy

<p style="text-align:left">Iraqi Vice President Nouri al-Maliki said the country is on the verge of entering new era of stability.

In a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi, Maliki said Iraq is preparing for holding the upcoming parliamentary elections slated to be held on May 12.

According to IRNA he further added that Iraq is seeking to put expansion of rendering public services, boosting process of reconstruction and tackling unemployment on its agenda.

Masjedi, for his part, voiced Iran's readiness to expand all-out ties with Iraq.

The two sides also reviewed the issues of mutual interests, latest political, security developments in Iraq and the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country.
