The head of media and communications at Duhok’s Civil Defense department, Rebwar Abdulaziz, told NRT that the bodies of three who drowned are still missing.

The flood hit the sub-district of Fahid in Duhok province and search for the missing bodies has been conducted, Abdulaziz added.

According to Abdulaziz the drowned people were on board of two vehicles which were found washed away by the flood.

“30 vehicles and 50 houses were flooded,” said Abdulaziz.

Several people were affected by flooding throughout the province, where cars and houses were left waterlogged.
