Envoy says Iran not seeking to negotiate with US

<p style="text-align: left;">Iranian ambassador to Belarus said on Friday that no one in Iran is seeking to negotiate with the US.

The positions adopted by the Iranian high-ranking officials including the Supreme Leader, the President, head of the Supreme National Security Council and other branches of power show that nobody in Iran is seeking negotiation with the US, Mostafa Oveisi added.

According to IRNA Oveisi described the US violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as against international rules and regulations, adding that Iran will be committed to the nuclear deal as long as its interests are secured.

US high ranking officials have implied that they would like to renegotiate JCPOA with Iran.

US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Tehran.

This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union, have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of the world peace and security.
