referring to the prospect of talks between the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) and the Kurdish Patriotic Union Parties (PYNK) after differences escalated between the two sides, Abdulrahman Apo told KurdPress that "The talks between the two sides has been suspended due to the absence of the US representative in the talks, the US presidential election and the subsequent administrative affairs."
He continued: "What is clear is that there are many differences ahead the talks, but efforts are being made to resolve them, because the United States has an interest in resolving these differences, and resolving issues outside Syria, especially in Syrian Kurdistan, all depends on the United States."
"It is necessary for all Syrian Kurdish movements to made deal within the interests of the Kurds, because the only way out of the problems is to reach a common solution so that the Kurds can achieve their rights, as the United States interests are in line with achieving the goal," the Kurdish official noted.
The PDK-S Central Committee member added: "The situation in Syrian Kurdistan is very dire and complicated, and the Kurds need to achieve their rights within a stable political situation, and we must make an agreement."
