"As the Kurdish Patriotic Council and the Democratic Party of Syrian Kurdistan, we want the PKK to leave the Kurdistan Region and enter into Turkey borders," Qadri Jan told KurdPress.
Qadri Jan, the member of the regional delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syria and also a member of the Kurdish Patriotic Council (ENKS) delegation in Qamishli, referred to the recent clashes between the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in the region's mountainous areas and urged the PKK to quit the region.
The Kurdistan Region is legally a part of Iraq and has an official border and is recognized in the international world and has the legitimacy in this regard.
He continued: "The PKK must respect the laws and rights of the Kurdistan Region and withdraw its forces from the border areas of the region and take them to Turkey Kurdistan as it is large enough to conduct operations there."
"The PKK must wage its war with Turkey within the borders of Turkey and quit the Kurdistan region and not endanger the interests of the region," Mr. Jan further told KurdPress.
He noted: "Today, due to the conflict between the Turkish army and the PKK, 400 villages in the border areas have been depopulated and the people of these villages have been displaced to other areas. Every part of Kurdistan has its own characteristics and the PKK should not sacrifice the interests of the other Kurds for its own sake."
