Turkey jets bomb areas in Kurdistan Region

<p style="text-align: left;">Turkish warplanes bombed Nerwa and Rekan villages in Duhok&amp;rsquo;s Shiladze sub-district in Kurdistan Region on Wednesday evening, November 4.

According to NRT the bombing was mostly in Sedan village situated in Nerwa, Rekan and Doski Zhuru.

There were no immediate reports of civilian casualties or material damage.

On June, Turkey renewed its military campaign in the Kurdistan Region , conducting extensive ground operations and launching dozens of airstrikes.

Turkey launched a renewed campaign of air and ground operations in the Kurdistan Region and northern Iraq in mid-June, code-named Operation Claw-Eagle and Operation Claw-Tiger, which it says is necessary to combat the Kurdistan Workers&rsquo; Party (PKK).

At least nine civilians have been killed and several others wounded.

The PKK has waged a decades-long campaign against the Turkish government seeking autonomy for the Kurdish-populated southeastern part of Turkey. It is designated as a terrorist group by Turkey, the European Union, and the US.
