"These allegations are a new maneuver of the regime," Mithat Sancar, the HDP co-chair said in a statement, referring to recent allegations that a new round of talks on resolving the Kurdish issue has begun to regain the votes of those Kurds who have left the party."
"There are no signs that the Turkish government will resume the peace process to resolve the Kurdish issue. The basis of the current regime in Turkey is hostility to the Kurds," the HDP co-chair added.
"Nothing is more legitimate than the negotiation of opposition parties on drafting a new constitution for the country," Sancar said on a live TV show on TELE1, referring to the party's efforts to draft a new constitution for Turkey.
The HDP top official further said that "Showing this as a crime shows the helplessness of the opposition. I urge all opposition parties to dare to draft a new constitution in the country."
